To Turn the above text into a Numbered List Select it and Click on the Numbered List Icon, you may have to click on » to see these Icons, or Hit the F12 Function Key.

Yes we have a Numbered List but the order is all wrong, notice the Bullets and Numbering Toolbar at the bottom that pops up when you are in a list, lets use that to get the seasons in the right order Click on Spring and use the Move Up Arrow button to bring Spring right up to the top, do the same for Summer, Autumn and Winter, they should now be 1,2,3 and 4.

Now to tidy up the months: which month belong in which season depends on where you are in the world, here in Ireland February is officially the first month of spring but reality begs to differ, I selected February and hit the Move up Arrow until it number 2 below Spring then I hit the Demote One Level to Place it as number 1 under Spring, Summer went back as 2

Move March and April up under Spring and Demote, play with the list and fill up Summer, Autumn and Winter with their months.
The last three months were in the right order so I selected them and demote them as one block.

We can change the numbering type for each level by clicking on one of the seasons and choose a number type

Click on one of the months and choose a letter type

Bullet Lists
Numbers are boring, with Writer you can easily change from a Number List to Bullet List and have fun choosing or creating cool bullet points.
Under Bullet Lists type out four items such as you favourite Rock Bands, Soccer Teams, TV Shows, whatever and Select them this time click on the Bullet List Icon or hold down the Shift Key and then F12 to create a Bullet List, lets jazz it up, Right Click that list and play, let your inner artist escape.

Maybe you went Ctrl+F12 instead of Shift+F12, that would turn your list into a single column table so lets play with tables next...
